Hi wjd,
but i am applying a work permit application under provincial nominee category ,is it reasonable to wait 2 years to get the work petmit approved ?
i am not sure if ur situation is the same as our situation!! but i remember one of our friends applied for work visa 3 years ago & his security check took 3 months.

Thanks a lot wjd ,that is much better

Security check depend on the number of countries you visited
And chance. Good luck

thanks samoo and wjd for your replies
but My husband visited many countries in Europe last year, In your point of view ,do you think this may have good or bad impact on the security check ?

Then what is the use of the pcc we provided them with? .I mean does it count or it is just part of the formalities to carry on further securtiy checks on their part . As for me I have been virtually living in four countries . Shall I give up that my security check would ever be completed ? I have been waiting since january 2013.I almost lost hope and fed up with this game of waiting .It seems as if they are playing on our nerves.

The hardest part in all the process is the time between meds and visa issuance, we've been waiting almost for 7 years now but waiting few more weeks become harder and harder.

nado, my self you and sep2008 share the same med request date, sep2006 already got the PPR and i think we will have our ppr this week or next week

Totally understand what you are saying Nado , In my case I have a work permit application and I applied it on Jan 2013 and till now did not get an approval ,is it reasonable to wait 2 years for security check while the validity of the work permit is 2 years also !!!!!!

cases that took up to 2 years for security check were very rare & they r the exception not the rule, most of them had resided in many countries before applying or were working in the military services of their countries, or had suspicions of being related to terrorist activities or something like this, during investigations they focus on visiting certain countries like Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Valenzuela ...etc and also on countries that u resided in for 6 months or more, in my case my passport was full with short business or touristic visits to European countries during the last 2 years, so be optimistic & don't concentrate on the 2 years thing :)
wish u and all the members here best of luck, be patient everything will be OK inshalla

Thanks a lot WJD , it is really so nice of you
But if you noticed I am from Iraq , this country is full of bombing everyday, Violence activities are everywhere , I have been waiting for 7 years ,First I applied as FSW on 2006 via Damascus ,and then was transferred to Warsaw , on 2012 they nominated me to a new program of provincial nominees and they claimed that this program is dedicated to fasten the processing time of the backlog applicant , I thought that this is the opportunity that should not be missed and I applied immediately , once I applied my FSW application was closed and I started new application ,and as you can see now ,I am still waiting

don't think u r alone in this situation
i lived and studied in Iraq for 6 years (1994-2000), my wife is Iraqi, we left Iraq in 2000 & moved to Jordan then to Saudi Arabia
my security check took about 5 months, so i believe that ur case will be settled soon, my advice for u is to relax, give it a hope & trust in Allah

Thanks a lot , wish you all the best of luck and God blessings

Finally, Iam soo happy .It is so good to know people of one's own nationality .Iam too from iraq but we left the country and resided in jordan after the war in 2004. Life for me here alone with my elderly & seriously ill mother and little sister is getting harder every single day. I was hoping to reach canada where my relatives and cousins live so that I can apply for mother and sister to join me .I do hope my dream will be fulfilled soon for the sake of my elderly mother and sister.wish you all good luck
