I believe that 2006 Damascus applicants will recieve their medicals within 3-9 months, and most of them will recieve their visa s within 1-2 years, but you have to start adjusting your life from now. Believe me that harder time starts after recieving the visa, cuz it will be going to be a huge shift toward a new life.

Sure! Here is my story.

I am a Bulgarian national, born in Pleven. I was working in Jordan for a company for 13 years (1994-2007), so I applied to Damascus office because my residence was in the middle east and it was too expensive for me to go to Bulgaria. After I moved back to Bulgaria in 2007, I sent them an email asking them to transfer my file to the Bucharest office in Romania where it should be processed. They instead transferred to Warsaw with you guys in 2009. Ever since, I have been waiting same like you guys. I don't think my case is special since they transferred it the same with you and i have the same timeline.

That is potentially good news, or bad if you decide to re-apply.
But my main concern is does anyone know if they are still working at the Damascus visa office or are they closed because of the security problems in Syria? cause my application is still there

guys , i;m really confused now they are making it more difficult now for new applicants as i'm 2007 and decide to re apply but now dont know what to do plus is reducing the cap from 20000 to 10000 will it really reduce the backlog!!!

my family (parents ) applied in November 2006 but still didn't hear anything do you guys know whats the last month of 2006 that received thiere update??
