Hello all,
After many long months I finally got my 18 month extension granted, which is very exciting!
However, I noticed on the website that they granted a 4 year work permit, which I found odd, as I was only expecting a 18 month extension.
I waited for the paper copy to arrive in order to confirm and it is all messed up.
Date issued: 2021/10/08
Expiry Date: 2025/10/08 (odd)
And here is where it gets really messy:
In Force from: 2023/04/08 (??)
Conditions: Must leave Canada by 2023/04/08 (??)
Has anyone else experienced something like this before and how should I go about fixing it?
Also, would this be a valid permit for working purposes, even with the mistake on it? I ask because I am in school but got a full-time job offer that is waiting for this permit to come through. I am wondering if I could start working full time (rather than 20hrs due to study permit), and withdrawal from my classes before October 31, while I wait for the corrections to be made on this PGWP extension under the Public Policy!
Any help would be greatly appreciated
