Hello all...
So its been a year now. I landed on March 27 of last year. When I landed the guy who did my paperwork said it would take some time due to refugees and that if I needed to update my address in that time to let them know.
Looking online to find someone to ask about this I found the PR card application page that stated you are supposed to send in an address when you land within 180 days for a free card.
This must be new because when I landed the guys there said I was good to go and I should get it in the mail but it would take longer due to refugees.
I tried calling the phone number that I used to use for application information but that just hung up on me everytime I tried to get to a representative.
Do I need to now re-apply and send in my address? or is this new? I'm not 100% sure now that my PR card is in the works.
Is there someone I can call, email to explain what the guy who did my landing paperwork told me so that I can avoid this $50 charge for my PR card.
This whole process has been the worst thing ever in terms of directions on what to do. Since initial application, it seems like they just make it hard with little to no information on purpose. Having to dig through piles of garbage just to find out what the heck I'm supposed to do is quite annoying. Its no wonder why people spend thousands for Lawyers to do it all. I did it all myself and its been a nightmare trying to figure out what to do.
