Sorry to hear that. I do think you should appeal for it. If your foreign education, age etc. all match the work exp, the officer's suspicion is baseless. Besides, did you list this work exp when you applied for a study permit before coming to Canada? If yes, that is another reason to consider...

That one full year is for eligibility for EE, which the OP already has because he stated it is CEC. His questions is about foreign exp, about claiming points only. Based on what I know, there is no rules that invalidate OP's exp in this case.

When they say they are, they are not. The message is false. You have to call IRCC to see whether they are indeed reviewing your eligibility.
