From our experience, extending the medicals means LA has approved your application and extended the medicals to issue the passport request. Passport was requested a week after medical was revised for us. We were not called for an interview, so you might not either.

We were in the exact same situation. File stayed in LA for 8 months and was then approved. Expect a long wait

I received the passport request last week! File was with LA for 8 months. Did not get asked for documents or an interview. Good luck with your journey.

That is great! Have not heard back myself after the pre-arrival letter, but perhaps we are in the queue.

BCG is at "We are processing your background check." Its been like that for months though. Nothing really has changed since we got the pre-arrival letter. Will keep you updated.

Medical is expired actually. I assume they would ask for another one if all else is good

Just wanted to update everyone that we received the pre-arrival services letter today. 7 months after file going to LA. No interview or additional requests (yet?). Dec 2017 applicant.

Same here. Medical went to "You do not need a medical exam" after it expired. Been 7 months for us now. I guess LA wait times are getting worse.

Have not heard from LA yet. Its been over 6 months since our file was transferred there.

Ours was sent to Los Angeles in November. Almost 6 months. Still have not heard back.

Great. Hopefully it will be done soon. Did you end up doing an interview? Our file has been in LA for over 3 months now. In our notes, the officer who sent the file to LA wanted a closer review of our supporting relationship documents.

We had the same thing last week. We were being processed in Mississauga and then received a letter last week that the file was transferred to Los Angeles. Not sure why. Neither of us are American or have lived in the US. We live in Canada but submitted an outland application.
