What would be the disadvantages of acquiring new PCCs except for time and money? Will you miss the deadline? Will you be left destitute? If the answer to both these questions is no; then acquire a fresh set of PCCs. Better safe than sorry. (I don't think it's necessary to provide new PCCs from...

Your spouse does not need an authorization letter if her/his documents are not expired. Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines are better options because these are more economical, usually faster (journey time less than 35hr), and as opposed to transiting through Europe, your spouse won't be needing...

You have not indicated whether you're exempt from travel restrictions or not, or if you are from a visa exempt country. If the first condition is correct, even though inconvenient, the best course of action is to travel and stablish residency. If you are not exempt from travel restrictions...

Sorry, the following explanation is off-topic; but some might be interested to know it nonetheless. This is new! But it also states 'This answer does not guarantee entry into Canada'. There's another problem, you probably won't be allowed to board the plane in the first place. But I think you're correct; this is new! I think it said 'connection flights do not count' before! Good observation!
