    Open Work Permit

What letter are you referring to and why would she have received it? Why are you posting in the Family Class Sponsorship section? Is she a FN here on a work permit? If so, post this question in one of the workers related forums.

    Canada Visitor Visa Extension Question

I do my part, but choose meat based plant burgers, rather than the `trendy' PBMB options that are everywhere these days. LOL!

Travelling cross border Seattle - Vancouver multiple times on expired PR card

No apology needed, but...thanks. Oh...did you happen to see this post, where I was subconciously channeling you: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/canada-visitor-visa-extension-question.844021/post-10813707 "Is marriage an option? If so, this would...

    Inland APR Eligibility Decision Letter

Yes, because without having a valid relationship with your spouse or partner approved, you would not be eligible for this type of PR.

    Inland APR Eligibility Decision Letter

DUH! LOL! Might be worth sending a web form to see if you can cancel the OWP and get a refund. It would be a shame to receive the OWP after your PR has been finalized. Then, take the refund and celebrate!

    Inland APR Eligibility Decision Letter

It means that your sponsor has been approved and your relationship to your sponsor has now been approved. This is known as AIP: Approval in Principle. Approved in principle / Approval in principle (AIP) Your application is “approved in principle (AIP)” if: you have received a...

    PR Card Renewal Online 2024

The rules changed some time ago requiring all PR's to submit the evidence; even those that never left Canada at all. Glad to see that you `squeaked' through without it!

Travelling cross border Seattle - Vancouver multiple times on expired PR card

You posted before I updated my post. All good.

Travelling cross border Seattle - Vancouver multiple times on expired PR card

Yet you chose to assume that the odds of the OP being out of compliance were > 50%...or so it seems. Just saw the post from the OP stating they are in fact out of compliance. At least I mentioned being prepared to be sent to Secondary every time. :D

    Canada Visitor Visa Extension Question

First and foremost, she must disclose the overstay and working without authorization if there are questions pertaining to these matters (which there certainly will be in the PR application when you're ready for that). IRCC can be forgiving for past `mistakes' but they have a zero tolerance...

Travelling cross border Seattle - Vancouver multiple times on expired PR card

I didn't realize that. Your days outside of Canada will not count if you are working for a US employer. Great! If you can re-enter Canada anytime before 11:59 PM on a Wednesday night (versus Thursday morning) and then return to the U.S. after 12:01 AM Monday...you would have 6 full days credit...

Travelling cross border Seattle - Vancouver multiple times on expired PR card

Since your employer is, basically, transferring you...you may be able to still count those days towards your Residency Obigation. The rules are strict, but worth looking into. How often do you plan to return to Vancouver? Every weekend? If so, as long as you enter Canada prior to midnight on a...

Travelling cross border Seattle - Vancouver multiple times on expired PR card

No, but be prepared to be sent to Secondary every trip....and hope you are not. While a valid PR Card is not needed to enter Canada (unless via a commercial carrier, save for a U.S. citizen perhaps) the CBSA officer will need to verify that your PR status has not been lost...which is what...

    PR Card Renewal Online 2024

Why did you ignore the requirement (for ALL applying for a renewed PR Card) to include 2 pieces of `evidence' or residency? Perhaps that contributed to your delay?.

Flying out of Canada with expired PR card

Plan A will work. So long as you are not deemed to be inadmissible to Canada (criminality issues, for example), you will not be denied entry into Canada by the CBSA officer, because your PR status has not expired; only your PR Card has expired. The only reason that a PR needs a valid PR card...

Renewing PR card from the USA

    1. As long as the photo meets the requirements, it can be taken anywhere. 2. https://www.ircc.canada.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=065&top=10 You need a valid permanent resident (PR) card to return to Canada by plane, train, bus or boat. If you know your card will expire when...

    Common Law/Sponsorship confusions

I suspect that the PR status of the OP's sponsor may be jeopardized since she landed as a single person, when she may have been deemed to be common-law when she landed. This seems to `muddy the waters', IMHO, since IRCC could `connect the dots' that she misrepresented herself regarding her own PR.

    RO not met/appealing and outcome

Unless your PR status has either been revoked or renounced, you are still a PR...even after your PR Card expires. If you are issued a 44(1) report (being `reported' in your words), you could remain in Canada during the appeal, but would be wise to remain in Canada, obviously.
