Can you request to do Oath Ceremony outside Canada if you have a specific reason for why you want to do that? Will they allow that in certain circumstances or is it a firm No? They only give you a weeks notice before the ceremony so it's possible that one cannot buy a plane ticket in time too...

Hi, I need to submit my police certificate that I just received in which I couldn't send it at the time of my application. Does anyone know how/where I send that to?

In my case, I cannot put in a future date since then I will not meet RO.

What do we put in the "Return Date" on physical presence calculator if we meet all the RO requirements up until the date of application however if we are still abroad? Should I just put in the date of the application? Or any other suggestions or facts to what I can/cannot do?

Thank you. However, I am seeing others say that you CAN send the main initial citizenship application from outside Canada and also because there is an online option as well. I just want to make sure I got factual information.

I am in a position to have to do so because I have to send my application ASAP but will not be receiving the police certificate for at least 7-10 days. Has anyone submitted their police certificate later and separately then your citizenship application? If so, do I just let them know in writing...

You said the application has to be submitted from Canada then said it's delayed if applied from outside. So, you CAN apply from outside correct?

I was a little bit concerned about this too. But then what do you do in a situation like this. Whether it's a paper or online application we still have to inform them somehow via written context. Because I don't think there is also any rules or guidelines that states one cannot be out of country...

Good question. I think the only option here is to put in the return date as the date you are submitting the application because you have to put in a date to advance further in the application. I hope doing that and just adding in writing of the situation will be good enough... would like to hear...

Definitely. Off topic here, but it IS ok to apply from outside Canada correct? I've lived abroad for a little while but I still meet my 1095 days present in Canada in the last 5 years. And I will continue to remain abroad until I get called for my citizenship test.
