Online Oath Ceremony from abroad

Hi,

Has anyone or does anyone know if you can do the online Oath Ceremony from abroad or do you have to be physically in Canada even if it is an online ceremony? If you do have to be physically present how would they know if you are actually there though?

Unless you are planning to lie, ask IRCC if they can allow online Oath Ceremony while being outside of Canada.
They will tell you yes or no. And may be ask you to notify them once you return to Canada for them to arrange another Oath day.

I hope that you don't plan to lie about your physical location at your Oath Ceremony...

There have been reports of exceptions, but they're so rare you can 99.9999% forget it, you'll need to be in Canada.
Also, to add to the above answer : google "CBSA travel history record".
