    You can request to do new medicals before the visa is issued to extend visa validity BUT personally I would go with your soft landing solution because I wouldn't want to be giving IRCC room to delay anything and doing new medicals can cause some delays.

    I haven't received it yet. I assume it will be issued once the preliminary eligibility check for the principal applicant is completed, which changed to "reviewing" in GCKey right after biometrics were completed.

    You might want to contact IRCC. It could be the Sponsor email address was mistyped and the AOR was sent to a wrong address. Otherwise check your spam folder in your email box.

    The current processing time for work permits is 229 days (~7.6 months) so unless your application for the work permit has exceeded that time, raising a web form is most likely not going to help.
