Impossible for anyone but your lawyer to comment on your grounds for asylum. The Canadian children are likely irrelevant to your asylum claim.

HELP for LMIA for (NOC 44101) | Borderline Income ($85k) | Need "Officer Perspective" on Red Flags

You would need to show you had enough savings to support a caregiver until you retire if you’re trying to make the case that your mother will need a full-time caregiver for life and this is not to secure a WP for your relative.

    Waiting for decision

Assume you mean 2026. A written decision doesn’t mean anything in terms of approval/refusal. Issues raised in the hearing are more of an indication of the result. Speak to your lawyer when it comes to their impression of your hearing.

Visitor Visa Processing - Dec 2025

Please don’t submit 72 pages for a TRV and you actually should submit bank statements for parents. This approval was primarily done by AI but if manual review bank statements of the applicants are important. Unless a pregnancy that is high risk that involves hospitalization or other limitations...

HELP for LMIA for (NOC 44101) | Borderline Income ($85k) | Need "Officer Perspective" on Red Flags

Unless you have significant savings you don’t make enough. How would you afford the ~40k annual salary if you make 85k (before taxes)? If she needs a full-time caregiver how did she pass the medical for PGP?

    Social Worker Express Entry

Which is not a social worker which is what you originally stated. Would add that that NOC is likely under review or may be allocated a small quota within the draw because too many are applying via that NOC to secure PR but are not actually continuing to work in that NOC defeating the purpose of...

Withdrawing a crime stoppers tip doesn’t stop the investigation. There would be concern that someone is being forced to withdraw the tip so that wouldn’t stop the investigation.

HELP for LMIA for (NOC 44101) | Borderline Income ($85k) | Need "Officer Perspective" on Red Flags

    1. 85k is not enough to hire a full-time caregiver. A caregiver would have to be paid 35-40k/year approximately so unless you or your mother have significant savings that won’t impact things like retirement then you can’t afford to pay someone 40k on your salary. Does she currently have a...

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

Believe more newcomers should learn French and especially school aged children. Canada doesn’t benefit if the score needed to get PR as a francophone is incredibly low while a masters student, NOC in demand in Canada, etc. struggle to get PR. If all the Francophones had the higher...

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

Many cases including parent/grandparent involvement BIOC. Excluding anything but BIOC would be a legal nightmare for IRCC and would still leave a large number of applicants. Many who work in immigration also see no other way to deal with general H&C but to start from scratch. We’ll all have to...

    PR Support

Big banks rarely go through the hassle of getting involved in immigration unless high level management. Would also be hard to show that they can’t find someone who has the ability to work in Canada already.

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

I’m all for making sure Canada remains a country where people know English and French but the overemphasis on French is getting a bit ridiculous and leading to less qualified candidates. That said unless you have a very clear path to PR and a high score I would be learning French.
