    Dual intent is not a crime. But I wouldn't state it as a purpose of your visit. It will be a goof example of "The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given."

    Most often the problem is with generic duties listed on a reference letter. If you can, get more specific ones, this way it will be easier to identify a correct NOC.

    If you are coming on a TRV, you cannot say you plan to stay more than 6 months. When you are in Canada, you can apply for a work permit under the public policy while you are in status without an AOR and even if you are out of status when you get approval in principle letter.
