Is it allowed to travel to Canada on a TRV and then apply for an OWP? While Outland PR application is in progress?

If yes, What do you say to the Boarder officer when they ask you how long you plan to stay?

If you tell them you are planing to apply for OWP will they deny you entry based on TRV is meant for tourism intent? Maybe the rules have changed I’m not sure

Thank you

If you are coming on a TRV, you cannot say you plan to stay more than 6 months.

When you are in Canada, you can apply for a work permit under the public policy while you are in status without an AOR and even if you are out of status when you get approval in principle letter.

Already recieved the AOR. But Can you say you are planning to apply the OWP? Will they deny you entry if you declare that?

Dual intent is not a crime. But I wouldn't state it as a purpose of your visit. It will be a goof example of "The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given."
