Moving to Canada with a Cat

I brought my dogs with me to Canada. I don't recall all I did, but: 1. We were told to microchip. Not sure if it is different for cats. 2. You'll have to deal with your local animal body + Canadian equivalent (forgot their name). Usually, Canada is the easiest/most direct to deal with. At...

eCOPR to PR card timeline 2026

If you read through the existing threads, you'll know what to expect when it comes to PR card. Seeing that you are over a month now in waiting, fax the "missed PR card" form to IRCC and request a new one. You can wait another 10-15 days. This has been documented and advised countless times on...

No BIL after 3 months (Dec AOR) – file seems frozen⁉️

    >I’m an FSW-Outland applicant and I’m wondering if anyone has experienced a similar situation. I've seen a considerable cases where BIL came after 4 months of AOR. Either call IRCC to confirm and see if they sent you a BIL that was never received (never seen that happen so far, but worth...

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

I do hope they don't do large draws (especially not those catch-all-large draws). The type of people coming from programs like TR->PR are quite poor. It would feel more isolating to skilled immigrants if they lowered to bar yet again, flooding with unskilled immigrants - all of that only makes...

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

Between CBSA and GCMS, once you have background check in-progress, I'd lean more towards getting CBSA notes as they generally more info as compared to GCMS. If you got these GCMS notes a month or two ago, CBSA notes might not be very different. But, once you are 6+ months since eligibility...

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

You can do it via ATIP or use a company to do it for you. I think any company would charge you ~$25 or more. But get that, as that'll provide you with more clarity and can take away confusion.

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

Forget what you get from the call. What do you see with GCMS/CBSA notes? Do you see any movement there?

My COPR was cancelled after passport stamping.

It has happened for a bunch of reasons. I remember reading through a post from someone a month ago where this email was received in error and their CoPR wasn't actually cancelled. Call IRCC and ask them if that's the case here. This happens very rarely though. For most of the time, a CoPR is...

    OCTOBER 2025 AOR

Again, your are complaining like the many others that I've seen over the years and these rants make no difference here. Truth is, your application is different, your officer is different, your VO is different. If you are marked non-routine (end up going beyond SLA), what the comparison will...

    OCTOBER 2025 AOR

Contacting MP won't help, they've no control or jurisdiction over your application and can't speed your application up.

    OCTOBER 2025 AOR

Again, if you are marked non-routine and aren't going to be 80% SLA - your application can be untouched for >1 year too. There's no need for that to happen and the expectation for that to happen knowing SLA isn't right. >just pure incompetent workload distribution/backlog management. I...

    Express Entry PCC Question

There are countless rules like that. Doesn't mean they don't lead to rejection. There's no rule that says you should always scan a colored copy of a black-and-white PCC from India -> but check the number of applications that are cancelled simply because of that! No ADR -> straight cancellations...

    Express Entry PCC Question

    >IRCC website says I can get PCC from local police station or regional passport office. Again, read through how PCCs from local police stations can often lead to rejection(not all police stations have and RPOs are always the right choice. IRCC doesn't know which police station is can do the...

    OCTOBER 2025 AOR

    > Should not have paid the RPRF from the start, so unfair and inefficient way of working from IRCC end That adds more wait time to your application. Paying RPRF upfront is better. >Starting to see December AORs getting FD while mine is probably not even having reached anyone’s desk yet...

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

If there were "passed" remarks in your GCMS, it would have been very easy to say that your application is going to get a positive result. Without that it is still a waiting game. When a draft is created and your application has nothing but "passed" in it -> that's usually a very good sign.

    Express Entry PCC Question

You think we've not read the link yet? I'm saying despite that, we see cases of rejection as the last stay should be covered. Also, the PCC link doesn't say about other things that lead to rejections too, doesn't mean that they are to be ignored.

    Express Entry PCC Question

People with misrepresentation also get their citizenships, doesn't justify "misrep". You have no sense of how anecdotal experiences can compromise someone's ability to migrate. If you think you are that right, are you willing to be held financially liable for wrong advice?
