Also likely includes those who came into Canada as refugees under private or government sponsorship. We need more details.

Anyone cleared PR medical with Crohn’s?

Very hard to comment without full list of his medications, knowing whether his Chron’s has affected his ability to work/study, whether surgery may be necessary, etc.

    Super Visa NOA

Should be fine but you can also include a letter of explanation.

Application and invitation withdrawn by OINP!

Would add globeandmail, Toronto star, CP24. Would look to see who typically follows immigration/health. I have had good luck using twitter to contact Christine Bryak. @christinecbc

    New Budget and PR processing

Yes there is a worldwide refugees crisis. Was referring to the volume of asylum seekers, refugees, protected people and their dependents in Canada or scheduled to arrive in Canada over the next 3 years. There is no indication that IRCC is trying to do any realistic longterm planning. There...

    New Budget and PR processing

A she but given nothing has actually happened and as predicted there is now outrage about hiding the one time programs I am waiting to see what actually happens and not what is proposed. Also waiting to see what happens with bill c-12. There is no good solution to solve the major immigration...

PR Sponsored Spouse wants to Separate

Yes you can sponsor again after 3 years but expect additional scrutiny given your 1st marriage will raise concerns of potential immigration fraud. I would suggest spending significant time in person together before and during sponsorship.

For express entry should i add the full time work experience even if i was paid comission only?

Yes. Whether you can claim points for it or whether it should be listed in your personal history is another story.

How long does it take to receive the Decision Letter?

There is no specific timeline for NOD so yes it can take this long. Doesn’t necessarily mean it is a positive or a negative. The NOD should be sent to your lawyer by email no longer by mail.

    New Budget and PR processing

Assume predicted there is now outrage about the one time programs that weren’t included in the levels plan. If it was only people already in Canada that likely wouldn’t be a big issues but many have dependents outside of Canada. Government is stuck in a hard place. It is very hard to deal with...

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

Extremely hard to stick to exact numbers. Also leaves a bit of flexibility for an unplanned event. What is important is the messaging about immigration which is trying to lower levels even though they did the exact opposite by not counting a few one time programs. Also giving a much higher quota...

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

The goal is to keep PR numbers low so don’t think IRCC goal is to meet the higher targets. By saying 1k that is essentially confirming their low commitment to general H&C. We really need to see what happens if/after bill c-12 passes.

    So essentially what I said.

Apply early before 5 month trip, or wait till after return?

She may have to adjust her travel plans if she wants to prioritize her PR status. She may also be spending too much time outside her province to qualify for healthcare on top of that. A valid health card does not mean you qualify for provincial healthcare if you don’t meet the residency...

Urgent: Sudden Increase in PR Processing Times for Refugees and Protected Persons (Up to 99 Months!)

I said that the priority is safety and that speed of PR is not the priority when it comes to refugees/protected people.

Urgent: Sudden Increase in PR Processing Times for Refugees and Protected Persons (Up to 99 Months!)

More about responsible use of resources and government efficiency. Wanting protected people and refugees to follow the rules, not misrepresent their case and actually having their life at risk in their home country shouldn’t be controversial. There are people whose lives are at risk in their...
