    We literally have government, blended and private sponsorship refugee pathways already. Also EMP which is a refugee/economic pathway.

    The data shows otherwise. There are certainly asylum seekers and refugees who work but in general the money spent on asylum, refugees and various H&C programs in the last 5-10 yrs is insane. The scrutiny to be able to qualify to claim asylum is minimal.

    Where is your spouse and why would they be considered non-accompanying when you applied. That actually could be issue. Assume you may have not gotten the ITA had they been listed as accompanying originally.

    The reality is that most Canadians have minimal knowledge of immigration programs. Anything that suggests better management of immigration and reduction of current numbers will be popular with most of the general public. Much easier said than done.

    Given the processing times for PGWP and IRCC looking for reasons to remove people think this is now a risky plan. Would probably consult a lawyer but if someone has any desire to remain in Canada would personally not suggest misrepresentation.
