Letter of demand ahead of writ of mandamus?

The letter in demand is typically a legal warning before your lawyer files a writ of mandamus. What country is your spouse from? Are there any red flags when it comes to your application? For example how much in person time have you spent together, is there a significant age difference, etc. A...

Parents & Grandparents Program (PGP) 2023

They are both independent. If your parents want to visit you they can always apply but they can’t move to Canada until they receive COPR.

Parents & Grandparents Program (PGP) 2023

Would not suggest doing this. It is a much better idea to apply for a visitor record. Visitors are much more likely to be denied entry or being given a less than 6 month visit length when trying to leave and reenter Canada versus applying for a visitor record. The processing time alone for a...

COPR Showing in PR Tracker But No Portal Email – AOR Dec 17 (CEC Inland)

Not sure why people are taking these steps when if you compare to other applicants it is very clear there is a backlog and you are waiting for your turn to receive P1, P2 and then eCOPR. The best source of information regarding processing times are other applicants.

COPR Showing in PR Tracker But No Portal Email – AOR Dec 17 (CEC Inland)

You should get P1 relatively soon. There is a backlog of CEC applicants waiting for landing.

COPR Showing in PR Tracker But No Portal Email – AOR Dec 17 (CEC Inland)

Will likely not say anything else. You are waiting in a queue for finalization and then P1, P2 and then eCOPR.

COPR Showing in PR Tracker But No Portal Email – AOR Dec 17 (CEC Inland)

As already mentioned COPR info in file is just notes. There is a long backlog of people waiting for FD, P1, P2 and then eCOPR. You are all waiting for processing. All you can do is be patient and monitor other applicants processing times. It is not exactly chronological but will give you an...

    Question on foreign work experience

Q1 can’t hurt Q2. Sure but what is really important is proof of presence in Canada not PR card. 6 month processing time is not uncommon.

Did not mention work experience in PR application but did it while applying study permit

The answer wouldn’t matter given there was minimal enforcement then and relatively easy to get PR while IRCC now goes through applications much more thoroughly and much harder to secure PR. Immigration in Canada looks nothing like 2022.

You can try. It is up to IRCC agent’s discretion. I would include a letter explaining why you feel you are entitled to the 3 years.

Did not mention work experience in PR application but did it while applying study permit

IRCC enforcement is very different than in 2022 when many things were overlooked.

    Visitor Visa queries
