Is there any update regarding your passport? Mine is still in Ottawa, and have since not activated its return tracking
Have patience everyone. I sent passport to Ottawa in the first week of March 2020. The application got approved yesterday on Saturday ((28 March) and my profile shows # and validity of COPR. Waiting to receive my passport now. Impressed to note that I got the approval on the weekend

that’s great news! I’ve got my passport back last Friday, after more than 2 weeks. When is your copr expiring?

You need to consider the current situation and expect delay in processing. Don’t worry. Even if you get the PPR request you can’t do much anyway, you might not be able to get the passport submitted, or if you did that might take long and even if you get copr you can’t fly anyway! So why stress?

I found your reply very comforting as I've been on edge about getting the PPR email.

Good Day,

Please I would like your assistance in understanding the below response I received from an IRCC agent about the status of my application:

"We verified the information on file and can confirm that:
The responsible office is currently verifying if your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied,
you may be contacted via your account if additional information is needed.
The background verifications are currently valid.
The security background verification is currently valid.
The medical examination results on file are currently valid."

Does the above mean I have met/passed all the background verifications but the eligibility verification is pending? Is it an indication to expect the PPR email soon?

I would really appreciate your feedback.
Thank you and stay safe.

My wife and I submitted out application on October 9th 2019. It has now been over 6 months.

The message on our application page says -

Latest update:
Review of medical results - October 22, 2019:You passed the medical exam.

Your application is taking us longer than usual to process.

About 20% of our applications are more complex to process. They take us longer due to things like how easily we can verify information, how well and how quickly you answer our requests and whether the application is complete.

Is this normal - do a lot of cases take longer than 6 months to be processed?

Our nationality is Indian and we are currently residing in the US.
