Does anyone have any experience leaving the UK with just COPR and passport and not applying for eTA?

On the CIC website it says that those from visa exempt countries do not need to apply for eTA if travelling with COPR...but I want to make sure I don't have a problem at the airport in the UK.

Just to clarify here that once you have landed as a PR the COPR cannot be used for air travel. As a PR you need either a PR card or a PRTD plus passport given also as a PR any ETAs or visa previously issued will be cancelled.

It is possible to show a COPR at the US / Canada land border but that for PRs is only exception.

Thanks for the reply. I should have been clearer in my initial post. This is for travel to Canada from UK for the purpose of landing and obtaining PR status.

An eTA is automatically attached to your passport when your CoPR is issued. You don't need to apply for it again.
Thank you for your reply. So with my CoPR and passport in hand I should be able to pass through the UK airport with eTA and then complete landing in Canada which would lead to the issuance of my PR card?
