I'm not sure that would be true, but someone said not everyone receive PAL, the one who got the PAL will be a signal that they will need more time on their file.
It's not true. Based on other threads and myimmitracker (more than hundred cases), there is no difference in processing time. Actually, it would be more helpful to track the application process cuz if received PAL and passed medical, it means only security check is left and at the last stage.

The known factors for delay are additional document request, number of dependents over 18, certain NOC, past occupation, past resident history (more than 6 months other than home country), VO and etc.

from PAL update normally how long will be the next update?
1 Dependent (wife) in India am main applicant. Inland PNP
AOR :- Dec 2018
Medical :- June 2019
PAL:- July 2019
no update ever since that doesn’t mean my application will be late coz I received PAL
My buddy got PAL and his overall time frame from AOR to PPR was 14 months.

wow im at 9 month from AOR most of 2018 receiveing PAL

I also know some people who didn’t receive PAL and they directly got PPR but still it was same time frame. so i guess PAL doesn’t mean much it just depends on the officer sometimes they send it sometimes they don’t
