I came in May 2017 and applied for one extension and stayed until May 2018 with her since she needed my help with medical issues. We got married in April of 2018 and I left with her to Florida for a month in May 2018. At that point we had some money since I could work remotely through my company in the US. Then we had the money but her family was gonna be homeless so we gave our savings to help and we got paid back in May of this year.

There is your reason right there. You have been in Canada for more than two years, basically attempting to live here on a visitors visa without moving forward with a inland spousal application or a common law application. After you tried to extend your "visitors" status one more time, the IRCC felt you were living here, which you were, and have now asked you to leave. Americans are fortunate not having to apply for a TRV or ETA, but eventually immigration will say validate your status or go . That is why your restoration has been refused.
About to apply is basically the same as not having applied.
