Any explanation "about pending review by officer"

Dear Forum Members,
Recently I applied for my wife and dependent child sponsorship :

On May 10, 2019 I recieved an email from CIC (along with UCI and file number)which states that "This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2019/04/02 on behalf of the following member(s):"

Now today i.e. May 23, 2019 i received another email from CIC stating that "This is to acknowledge receipt of your sponsorship application and to advise that your file is presently pending review by an officer. You will be contacted in the future if further information is required or as soon as the decision on your application is finalized."

I couldn't able to find any information about what the second email means, have any one else received the same? does this means that all is going well so far? please share your experiences. thanks in advance

It looks like the first email is 'AOR' for sponsor and second is AOR for PA. This is the first step acknowledging receipt of your application by CIC. They're just saying they received your documents. You should've gotten a UCI with this email. You can now try to link your application online using gckey to check status. You can also check updates on CIC using UCI, etc without having to link on gckey (there's less updates on cic).

It looks like the first email is 'AOR' for sponsor and second is AOR for PA. This is the first step acknowledging receipt of your application by CIC. They're just saying they received your documents. Yes everyone gets this email. You only applied at the end of April, you still have a long time to wait (8-10 months or longer, depending on your application). They will contact you if they need anything.

Second email is not an 'AOR' . IT clearly says it is presently pending review by an officer. That means they didnt reach to a decision yet on your sponsorship eligibility. Once they finalize and if you are it you will receive the sponsorship eligibility as an attached email .

That is not an AOR for PA . They will only sendout anything to a PA after the sponsor eligibility is finalised.

hello i applied for my wife and i received same acknowledge e mail exactly same did you find any information about that i am just worry because last month i went for my citizenship test in interview they asked me some documents which i provided them but they asked me you applied for you wife that process will stop till your this matter is under process and after one week i got this e mail for my wife .
