Riding off @Brugonzalez7 's post for US applicants, is it normal to have to wait at least 2 weeks to schedule an appt with USCIS? I scheduled for June 10th. How long usually does it take if other people have your appointment time? Also is your biometric photo used for your PR card? Just curious because I really couldn't find much in my research.

@MustLoveCats @Brugonzalez7 I also had to wait 2 weeks before booking an appointment (June 6), not sure if walk-ins are possible or if it varies by location. Also they do not use biometric photos for the PR card. You have to provide new PR photos when you mail out the PPR documents.
Thank you for letting us know all this! I know from what I saw for the USCIS locations in New York State which is where we are from you need to make an appointment and it was two weeks so perhaps that is standard.

Biometrics appointment made for June 06. I had saw somewhere in another thread that I didn’t have to make an appointment for to go to a USCIS but I still made the appointment as I’m not sure. Anyone from the US did biometrics already?

Def. made an appointment for biometrics in US. Those USCIS offices can get quite busy, it would be safer to book the appointment than not to.

Well now I'm glad I made an appt for June 10 when I have no prior appts planned. I guess who knows how long you'll be there waiting before they call you up.

Does anyone understands the process than i do?

I need to know when Sydney office transfer your file for further processing?
And what holds them to keep the file in Sydney? Like checking principal applicant eligibility first or what they do?
Because it’s now 2 months since SA, bio and medical, with no transfer yet.

Your file will get transferred when they get medical results usually. Well usually little beforehand. We got the letter it's being transferred to mississauga a day before we got biometrics and medical request. So if you have been approved as a sponsor thrn likely it's already been tranfered. If your file is staying in Canada that is. If it's going to a go outside of Canada then it may be delayed. Best way to find out is call the call center and ask
