I hope any one can answer below scenario

My wife is holding Canadian passport and we both live in Dubai means she is on my UAE PR.

In Canada My wife was on social assistance for few years but after few months of our marriage I asked her to cancel her social assistance and since then I take care of her all expenses. We got married in May 2014.

After marriage she spent some time in Canada as well and I used to send her money through western union and I have receipts with me.

Now I am planning to apply for Canadian PR and my wife does not work.

Can my wife sponsor me considering that once case gets approved I can transfer
50,000$ in her Canadian Bank account to start our life in Canada and then I will search for the job in Canada. I am Banker by profession and 38 years of age.

Second I have one personal loan , Autoloan and credit cards from UAE Bank, Will I have to close all liabilities before the issuance of Canadian PR if case gets approved ??

As long as your wife is not on social assistance she can apply to sponsor you. If she is a Canadian PR she has to be in the country to sponsor. If she is a Canadian citizen she can sponsor from Dubai. You would just have to prove that your moving back to Canada. Also, write and letter to explain how you all plan to support yourselves here since she is not working. And don’t forget the notice of assessments.

No, your loans and credit do not affect your application. Only your wife cannot be bankrupt.

Do not close anything until you immigrate and settle in Canada. You may not know when do you need them.
