Wife gave medical exam on March 30. No updates yet on eCAS or GCkey

I see people here from late Jan are getting biometrics. Our app was received 31st Jan so hoping we’ll get the Biometrics request and Medical passed updates this week.

Lol don’t worry. I didn’t get any biometric yet either, Jan 18th applicant. Although I get request to pay biometric fees every week which was paid on March 5th sometimes twice a week. Biometric doesn’t have any effect on processing time. So be glad that at least somebody is getting something.

I also submitted documents through CIC. 63 pages and compress file to 3.1 MB. I think documents are readable. Thats the best I can do with readable documents.

Only question is documents ask from PA when I submitted CIC I sign My name Sponsor. Hope that's okay.

Mine says "Documents submitted by the client" I did not notice before where it says "your action required"

and "Review of additional documents - We need additional documents to continue processing your application. We will send you a message with more details"

Is it same for you?
Ya its same for me. But i used her name to sign as its her cic account and pa was asked for that information not sponsor. I guess it should be ok.

Guess who just did biometrics!! Phew!

The staffs at buffalo office was not very familiar with the process so it took them a while to figure out how it works. I’m sure VAC staffs are better trained than them

Hi guys, I am going to visit my husband (the PA) in June. What are your thoughts on sending via webform copies of my airline tickets when I purchase them probably by the end of this month or beginning of May? Would this get them to look at our application since they are a super slow VO or would it cause more delay? I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks in advance! :) x

I am not sure if it would get them looking at your file but it should definitely add to "proof of relationship" whenever they do look at your file after that.

Amazing. I also am waiting on my AOR. Hopefully it arrives this week. My ECAS has been showing sponsorship approval as "in progress" for nearly a month with no update.

If you dont mind, can you please share what you sent via webform?

Hey,
My husband (PA) sent the webform saying that our application was received by Nova Scotia office on January 14 and it passed 70 days. We haven't heard back anything and we have started to get bit worried. We understand IRCC is under load of work but it would be highly appreciated to get update regarding the status of our application.

make sure to include following info

  • Surname and complete given name of person you're enquiring about - exactly as they appear on the passport or identity document,
  • Date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD) of person you're enquiring about,
  • Client ID Number, UCI or Application Number,
  • Country of birth of person you're enquiring about,
  • Type of application,
  • Date on which the application was submitted to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada:
    • mailing method (courier, Canada Post (registered or regular mail), etc.),
    • company used,
    • confirmation no.,
  • Office where the application was submitted (city, country),
  • Receipt number,
  • Current address,
  • Telephone number(s),
  • Email address
You will receive an email from them saying almost nothing regarding your application status but it will get to their attention.
Same thing happened with one of other sponsor. He sent a webform and they sent him AOR and rest quickly after.

Hope this helps :)
