Relax. The CIC account will get updated when the local VO stamp visa or issue COPR. I use "or" instead of "and" because if you're from a visa exempt country you will only receive COPR. In either case, nothing to worry. Oh and, Congratulations!! :D

I don't remember getting an email notifying me about a message in my account - for a ghost update. The whole idea of it being a "Ghost" update is that there is no other indication of any sort except a temp "Application/ Profile updated" status on the account. sorry to be bearer of bad news, but...

Keep believing folks. Easier said than done but if we don’t then this process can really bring out the worst in people. I hope the coming week brings good news to all that are remaining in this grind from this Jan group.

Got the passport back with visa stamped + the COPR document today. All set to take off.. The wifey that is, not me :D

If you selected to pick it up in person, courier fees should not be required. BUT I am not sure on how things differ for this in US.

Congratulations!! Its no set rule which update gets pushed first when it comes to this entire process. Case in point, I saw the ‘Approved’ status on GcKey account 12 hrs before receiving the dispatched email from VFS. Good to allow a 24 hr buffer in my opinion before pressing the panic button.

Same timeline except we keep getting “no records found” when we use the tracking number in the VFS email and the PA’s D.O.B.

How long after submitting the passport did the tracking information become available online? My wife got the email to say its in processing with tracking number but when we try to track it, it says “no records found”. Seems to like they haven’t updated the records yet. We got the email yesterday

I read someone on here mention that as of this march you have to provide translations of proof of communication as well. Id get the originals and translations side by side on a pdf and submit via email or on gckey account

If I may, Id like to suggest to include a link to the tracker on any such post encouraging others to update it. Or have it in your signature at least.

@vinitmenon I see now what you meant by tickets being expensive. PS: look for Mumbai to Toronto. Seems to be much cheaper than flying out of Delhi
