Hi All

I am CEC inland applicant.
I was on implied status as I was waiting for decision from immigration regarding TRV (Visitor Visa). However, they have granted me Visitor extension only until March 2019.

I am very worried as I want to continue my stay here until I get my PR. Can I re-apply to extend my visitor visa without leaving Canada? Please help

Yes you can apply for extension while you are waiting on PR, they will give it to you! I'm in same boat so I know lol. I'm about to apply for an extension as well because mine expires Feb 28

Wait...so can you please elaborate. My situation is as under
1) CEC inland
2) no job
3) Just today received decision from CIC on TRV -last date March end 2019

What reason should I give them to extend my TRV? Can we say our PR is in process so I need extension? OR
Do I need to say I still need to time to visit Canada as a tourist?

Please help.
(I did one mistake in my earlier application when I applied for TRV. I mentioned I want to visit Canada but also mentioned I will be visiting a relative in the States in April, maybe that's why they granted me very short term visa)

Request your advice

You can apply under the basis that you're waiting a decision on your PR, it's really simple, submit proof of AOR when you submit and you'll get it. Do not stress just take a breath and relax .

You are not extending your TRV. You are extending your visitor status.

The reason should be the truth. You are waiting for PR.

Which agent is this ? That does not make any sense, you applied for PR under CEC which is experience you already gained while in Canada as a student and worker. I have a friend who was in similar situation and applied for more time and received it . So be careful who you take advice from. Like I said I'm in similar situation as well and I'm just going to extend my TRV on the basis that I'm still waiting for decision on my PR.

There is no such thing as "TRV status". A TRV is a stamp in your passport allowing you to board a commercial carrier to travel to Canada. It has nothing to do with status in Canada.

Already advised. Apply for the visitor extension.

Sorry I made a mistake and write TRV I meant the visitor record extension.

Hi

I am applying for extension of my Visitor Status as advised earlier.I had following two questions regarding the form,

1)Details of Visit to Canada- Purpose of my Visit.
What should I put here? 'Other" ? OR "Tourist". Reason for extension is - Waiting for decision on my PR

2) Also, What date should I put as my Intended Stay?
For how many months can I ask ?

Please advise. Looking forward for your response.

Thanks

1. The truth. You are not here as a tourist.

2. The estimated time for your app to be finished,

Hi

I wanted to clarify another thing before submitting my form.

I am asking for more than 6 months stay.
Will I need to give a medical exam because for more than 6 months?

Also, when I was filling out the eligibility questionnaire , i was asked if in the past 12 months I have given a medical exam with IRCC. If I say NO , then I am not asked for medical exam

If I say YES ( I gave my medical for PR which is in process) then they ask me to give medical exam.

Please advise if I should answer YES or NO for medical. And why am I asked for medical if I say YES.Thank you
