Hello,

I submitted my application last Jan. 29, 2019 via express mail. I think I submitted a wrong certificate for proof of language. Do you think how long they will send back my application?

Difficult to know how long it will take...
They may not even return your application, but rather send you AOR and later request for additional documents.
Perhaps in a month or so you’ll hear from them.

Thank you. But I’ve read on their site that if its incomplete they will return the whole application.

Hello,

I sent our family applications yesterday, February 1st. and I downloaded early January 2019 the forms. This morning I noticed that there is a new form CIT 0002( 01-2019) for January 2019.
From what I can read from CIC, it should be Ok. What are your thoughts about this? I will appreciate your input.

Here is what the website says:

Make sure you use a version of the application form dated October 2017 or later. You can find the version date on the bottom left corner of the form. For example, “CIT 0002 (01-2019)” means the version date is January 2019. The date you sign or mail your form does not change the version date.

If you submit your application on a form with a version date older than October 2017, we’ll return it to you and ask you to resubmit your application using the newest version of the form.

If you used a version of the form dated October 2017 or later and we returned it to you as incomplete, you don’t need to use the newest version of the form to resubmit your application. You can resubmit it using the same form once you get the missing information or documents.

I’m not sure if you have understood my answer.
I was trying to say that in general they will return incomplete applications but there are cases for which they decide not to return the application, but send the applicant an AOR, and send him / him a request to provide missing documents at a later stage in the processing, instead.

Do i need to wait for Oath/Citizenship certificate to be issued first and then initiate a name change?

I see. You could also submit your transcript and diploma from your University. That’s what I submitted.

Which certificate did u submit? I submitted my degree certificate ( studied in English India ) and my application was accepted .some people have submitted transcript and have been accepted . Normally they send package back between 1 to 3 months that todepends.
