Hello guys, I really need your help on this one. I have created another thread in the refugee section about my little sister.

I could not post a link here but the thread name is : minor-sister-with-hijab-refugee-claim and here is some of the info

"
I have my sister here who is visiting me on a visitor Visa. Her visa is valid for 5 years but as everyone knows, she must leave before the first 6 months.

She decided to remove her hijab as she is far from the family now, and she could not do that while she was back home. I support her decision because I want her to decide for own life and be responsible. However, when few brothers saw her pictures on whatsapp and facebook without Hijab, they started a family problem and they are threatening her if she goes back without Hijab, they will kill her. She is afraid that they would do something bad to her. How on the earth I could let her stay here beside me ?

She is 17 years old now. Currently in Ontario.

"
Please note, both mother and father are a complete open minded...it is just 2 brothers I have :-[
I did speak to a 30 mins free consultation lawyer and said sister may have success in her claim.

I am also eligible to sponsor my parents and my sister could come with them as she is 16.5 years now.

Which option should I go with ? refugee claim or parents sponsorship ? Would a refugee claim affect my job or my situation here ? I am a Canadian resident since year 2000

Althought I understand your situation, it is hard to argue this is refugee case as if it is accepted it will open doors to ENTIRE MUSLIM WORLD to claim refugees once they can set foot in Canada, every body can just say their family will kill them because they did something against religious belief and claim refugee if this case is accepted.

I highly doubt she would be accepted under a refugee or H&C case.

If your income from past 3 years qualifies you to sponsor your parents, then I would suggest to sponsor them in January 2017 and include your sister in the application. Even if your parents don't want to immigrate here, once your sister gets PR with them she will keep her PR even if the parents leave and never actually live here.

Hi Shankar,

1. Yes. Minimum Necessary Income (MNI) is LICO + 30% so you don't need to add anything to the number
2. Correct, it should go to Mississauga office
3. No idea but should happen soon. Hope someone from 2016 can tell us when they could see updates for the income cut off table. They may not update the forms.

You don't need to hire anyone, Canada visa has all info from past applicants and hopefully we will more 2017 applicants join this thread soon.
What about the financial evaluation form question 8 says minimum income which is around $56,000 for 6 persons. In question 9 we have to put the income for 2015,2014,2013 which are way higher than the minimum in question 8.
In question 9 it says if your income is lower than the minimum dont apply. What if my income for 2014 is higher than the minimum in question 8 but lower than LICO +30%.
Do I apply

Help PLEASE!
I want to sponsor both my parents.
Can I do so in one application, or do I need to fill two different applications, one for each parent?
Thanks!

No, you submit 1 application with your mother or father as a dependent. They will have to fill some individual forms and some common.

Everyone will be notified, and once they send emails out, this forum will be bombarded with posts.
There is no need to keep asking if anyone has received any notifications, or to tell everyone that they are still waiting.
Be patient, find a hobby in the meantime.
Good luck
