Just looking at the can-pak spreadsheet...there was only one application done. Government employees or summer break or something?

Aug also had low numbers. June was nice!
Lets hope sept numbers turn out well!! I wonder if they work on the labour day Monday....

there's a saying in london that goes something like this: "you wait ages for bus, and then three come along at once". i guess it's the same deal when waiting for PPRs from their visa office. :

Salam, i am in the process of filling out spouse sponsorship application and I would like to know whether I should mention about Mehndi and include photos or not? Our Mehndi was done separatly at each others houses on different dates? I also want to know that where do I mention about Mehndi function on the forms? On the egagement question or the formal ceremony of marriage? Please advise?

W/S Our Mehndi was done together and thats why i added photos in the file. We both were in the same Photo. I wouldnt add a photo where only one of us can be seen. I didn't mention mehndi on any form but I have mentioned about it in the relationship development essay.

Even if you completed the Mehndi ceremony separately you should still include photos. I say this because it is still a tradition in Pakistan and I am sure they know that historically it was done by both families separately. So I don't see an issue here. Just make sure that you mention in your essay that the Mehndi ceremony was performed on the same day by both families at their respective houses because this is a historic tradition in Pakistan. But please make sure that you include photos from both mehndi ceremonies that includes, you, your wife and family members. Also, on the forms, you can definitely mention the Mehndi function as part of your marriage ceremony as a whole. So the way I organized it was the following way:

Nikah-

Mehndi-

Rukhsai-

Walima-

So just give a decent amount of detail for each function and you will be good.

Sponsorship of all the October applicants was approved in December. LVO received only 93 files in December maybe that's why they got DM and PPR so early?

Brother From where you get this data that LVO has received 93 files in Dec 2015. can u give the no of files received in Jan & March 2016 as well ?

Visa officers have seen so many Pakistani cases that they must be aware of our each and every tradition. do attach pictures of mehndi, but do mention that they were done separately. Dont hide.. tell what was right. you will be through.
