Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Thanks Mooer...I got the PR Card last night from my old apt owner. There is a "DO NOT FORWARD" on top of the envelope, so Canadapost wont forward such mails, but wont be returned to the sender either...Just some info to keep in mind. Good Luck to everyone waiting.

Can anyone tell me how long will the card take to arrive at Vancouver, BC? Mine was mailed out on march 3rd as per CIC to my old address and it has not arrived yet. I subscribed to 4 months of mail forwarding as well with Canadapost but no pr card

Hi , I also changed my canadian address before I landed , and made sure they had it changed by phone , I also changed it online , and just in case I also paid 54 dollars for the canada post mail forward service . Cic didn't mess up and sent it to the right address ,but For my Surprise ! The white envelope has a indication for the canada post to " do not forward " and it has a customer number .
My card was also mailed out on March 3rd , I'm in Edmonton and I received it on Monday March 9th .
So I think your card will have to go back to CPC PRC Sidney , and then be mailed again to the right address,
Hopefully I'm wrong and the mail forward works for you , good luck !!

CIC can be so difficult.

They really need to be more transparent and helpful. I think I may have the worst timeline of all...

I landed on 8th November 2014, provided my address and they said my PR Card would take 6-10 weeks... my ECAS was finally updated on 28th Feb 2015 when it said 'PR card Posted'.
I then emailed them asking what is taking so long (I still haven't got it) and they said it takes up to 6 weeks after ECAS says 'it has been posted' for it to actually arrive.

I have a question. You have to land in Canada 1 year after you have been approved, with your COPR. Which I have done. Now that I have landed, do I now have the PR for 5 years from the date I was approved?

Hi Guys,
Hoping if someone has been through my situation or can help me.
I landed on 23 Jan at Pearson, and the CBSA officer asked me for my mailing/home address where the PRC needs to be sent, I provided him my current home address which is also my mailing address.
After few days , when I logged in to eCAS check my status it showed both my mailing and home address have been changed to the right one which I gave upon landing.
Today after 50+ days when I did not received my PRC I called the CIC call centre the agent told me that my home address is correct (which I gave at landing) but my mailing address is still of my lawyer and that my card has been dispatched on 6th March, which I should have received last week or will receive this week.
Unfortunately my lawyer does not use that address anymore.

1 Who do I believe the website and hope my card will come at the right address?

2 Or I believe the agent and go to the address and speak to the recipient there?

3 he asked me if I want to make my home address as my mailing address offcourse I said yes , but what's the guarantee it will get fixed??

any experts please advise.

Went to the Old address of my Lawyer no one was living at the address so the nice Supervisor opened the mailbox and checked, received the PRC, it was dispatched on 5th March received in Mail 16th March, good luck to you all

P.S. Suggestion, after landing in about a week or so do call CIC callcentre and get your "Mailing" address checked again regardless of what you give at the airport.

Did you receive your card yet?

My status just changed from Decision Made to Completed (saying that I landed on Mar 4 and became a PR).

So i wonder when did you land in Canada and how long it took you to receive your card from the date you landed?

I am so worried that the card wont be here before my vacation in April. Then i have to cancel to flight the second time (the first time was when they asked me to send in the passport)
