If you check the cic website it is REQUIRED na 4 mos dapat yung statement. Although I have read some na naapprove here did not even show their bank statements, bank certification lang. So I guess it really depends on the VO. But as much as possible, sunod nalang tayo sa hinihingi nila.
Hi,

Thanks so much for your help. Sorry, I don't speak tagalog.
What do you think about a financial institution loan? If it's a loan, then we need to put the money in personal account and wait for 4 months before getting the statements?

I would like to know taking a loan is an easier and faster way.
Thanks again!

Hello sis.. I do not think it counts if you loaned the money.. I believe they take that into consideration..However, it is best if you would ask any consultants.. As for my application, our consultant did not advise using my new account although it did have money there..she suggested we use an old existing bank account, ergo my parents bank accounts.

Hope this helps!!

imo getting a loan is fine as long as you won't entirely depend on it. Make sure you provide a loan letter when doing so.

Just my opinion as I did the same thing

Thanks for your reply.
So you think providing a letter from the financial institution stating that they have given the loan is good enough?
If you're showing personal funds, I think 4-6 months of bank statements showing that much money would work.
But in my case, showing educational loan, I'm not sure about the steps for it.

Mind elaborating on what you did, as much detailed as possible please?
Thanks!

So you transferred the loan amount into your parents account and then your parents pulled a 6 month bank statement?

Hello. Ask ko lang kung may naadmit dito ng masters program sa univ of victoria, simon fraser, vancouver island or sa UBC. Kasi nagcheck ako sa website ng univ of victoria at UBC, kapag filipino for masters program nila dpat tapos na ng masters sa atin kasi
"The first year of the Bachelor's degree is usually viewed as comparable to the 11th year of high-school in Canada. As such, the four-year Bachelor's degree is deemed more comparable to a two-year degree at a Canadian university and is therefore not eligible for direct admission to the Master's program."

nalulungkot naman ako kasi gusto ko sana mag MBA sa BC. kasi malapit sa Pinas at USA. :'(

What we did for my application, the loan was deposited to my mom's personal bank account. So basically, the loan was added to the money (savings) that was kept in the bank for four months (we submitted four months bank statement). The loan was only added to the account few days before we lodged my application, provided with a loan letter from the bank.

I am applying from UAE, so application process is a bit different from Philippines. I am not sure with educational loan because mine was personal loan. If you can, try to at least make arrangements with the local bank or talk to any representative/bank manager regarding their educational loan services because some banks require proof of acceptance from a Canadian university and some just lend you the money and pay it afterwards.

Aside from getting opinions here, I suggest you make a separate thread here in the international students forum so other applicants with the same dilemma as you can contribute as well.

Hope this helps!

hello fellow kababayans,

Share ko lang some infos regarding study permit application.

Much better kung mag paper based application kayo. From my experience (lalo na kung medyo time constraint kayo and september intake is just a month away) may mga glitches kasi minsan pag online application. Unlike pag paper based kung ano ung na gather mong documents yun din ang marereceive ng VFS. may mga cases kasi na hindi completely na upload ung ibang attachments.

It only took me 3 weeks to get the study permit. I submitted my application and supporting documents personally sa VFS Makati. The good thing about that is, they will scrutinize the application itself and the documents para wala kang ma miss and what not.

Then for MR naman. I went to SLEC ermita. before kayo umuwi you can ask them kung ok lahat ng test. They usually advise you na tapos na and kung ok ung mga results. I was advised by a doctor who physical examined me to follow up after a week to verify if they have submitted the results to CIC. Usually 3-4 weeks ang time table nila to submit to CIC. Pero you can request them to put a note that you have a tight deadline. Then follow up again from time to time. It took 2 weeks for my medical results to be forwarded to CIC.

Yes that is correct. I inquired with SFU last year when I was in Vancouver. Required talaga na nagmasters ka dito or naka 2 years work experience I am just not sure if they want the work experience in Canada or pwede sa home country.
