Is anybody on here that got a notice that their steps were completed before they got final decision? If yes, how long did it take? My steps got completed on the 14th, it’s been 10 days and no FD.

Honestly, I'm currently studying at a university in Quebec. I could transfer my courses to another university in Toronto, but my grant and scholarship are from Quebec, so I can't move right now. My PR application has been stuck in the security check stage for the past three years, and I'm worried that moving to Toronto now could cause issues with my application.
Just to let you know, your application is stuck mainly because of Quebec’s quotas, not the security check itself. In my opinion, the security check is just an excuse so you can’t challenge IRCC over the delay.

Ultimate decision is yours, but honestly, if I were in your position, I would have left from day 0. Good luck!

Can you please tell me how much you paid the lawyer to send a demand letter to IRCC? Did your lawyer give you any hope or a positive expectation regarding the outcome?
1300 for demand letter lawyer said it all depends on how ircc doj will react else hearing will happen in court

Thanks for your response. I have also been thinking about filing a mandamus application. Yesterday, I had a consultation with a lawyer, and she quoted me $1,000 plus tax for a demand letter. I’ve been separated from my family for 11 years. It’s been an incredibly difficult time for both me and my family. Unfortunately, it feels like IRCC doesn’t care. The ongoing delays have taken a significant emotional toll on us.

Hi everyone,

I received my CSQ in November 2022 and submitted my permanent residence (PR) application in March 2023.

Since then, I haven't received any updates from IRCC.

Is anyone else in the same situation, especially applicants from Quebec? I'd appreciate hearing about your timeline.
Did you received eligibility?
