I had another ghost update last week. But nothing substantial. How about you?

The DOJ issued a memorandum on April 1st, and my lawyer replied on April 13th. We are now awaiting the court's decision to grant leave or dismiss the case. Background verification was from July 2024.

Hello family,

I'm looking for similar experiences regarding the following issue:

My permanent residence application is in progress. Biometrics, Medicals, eligibility, information sharing, and criminality have all been validated. Security didn't start until May 9, 2024, when I received a ghost update. Upon calling IRCC, I learned that my security is now in progress.

I saw this update on the tracker on May 10, 2024.

By talking to people around me, I learned that this update only appears on the tracker when the application is undergoing a comprehensive security screening, which can take months, or even a year or more, to be approved.

Could someone share their experiences on this? Is this really the case? Have you got same update on the Tracker before? dazz cam 2026

That's a stressful wait, but you're not alone—many applicants see that "in progress" update during comprehensive security screening. It can indeed take months, but every case is unique.
