BOWP(Bridging open work permit), current work permit expired, applied for PR under CEC

Hello everyone,

My PGWP was expiring in September 2024 but i applied for BOWP in august 2024 after getting AOR.
but my BOWP got refused on December 16th, 2024. The reason was i didn’t upload my nomination letter

I applied for restoration as BOWP again in january with AOR and Nomination letter and other required documents.

Now, someone told me that i should also apply visitor record.

My question is
Am i eligible for restoration as BOWP again in 90 days, once it gets refused ?
Or should i apply for visitor too ?
please let me know, if someone has knowledge about that.

You have already applied for restoration in January as I understand it. If you were refused in December, then you were eligible to apply for restoration in January. If your restoration application is refused, you cannot apply for restoration again.

You are not eligible to apply for a visitor record. That was only possible while you still held a valid work permit.

No, my restoration did not refused.
My question was if BOWP is refused once.
Am i still eligible to apply BOWP in restoration?

And as per my knowledge we don’t need valid WP to apply visitor record.

I'm not sure I understand your question.

You need to see if restoration is approved (and if the BOWP is approved along with restoration). If restoration is refused, you cannot apply for restoration again. You will be in Canada without status.

Applying for a visitor record doesn't help you at all. You can do it. However if restoration is refused, you will still end up in Canada without status. The visitor record won't help you at all since you will have applied for it after your work permit expired.

My PGWP was going to expire in Nov 2024, I requested for OWP in August 2024 and got a temporary letter to keep working till Feb 2025. However, a decision was made in Dec 2024 with a refusal, Stating the following : "You have not demonstrated that you are eligible to apply for an Open Work Permit under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. Your prospective employer is responsible for obtaining a valid Labour Market Impact Assessment and Confirmation from Employment and Social Development Canada. • Client did not submit some of the eligibility requirement documents that a foreign national must meet in order to be issued a work permit under existing pathways. • Family Information form [IMM 5707] not submitted. [X] We also wish to advise you that your temporary resident status expires on 08AUG2025". (1) I have a visitors record with validity till August 2025, (2). I have submitted my PR application in August 2024 but yet to get my AOR. Can someone please advise on what to do?
