if ur security background check hasnt completed in july 2026, u should chase with ur lawyer. Many of us including me has completed security background checks on Jan/Feb 2026. but i entered canada at Jan/Feb 2025. i m curious how did u call IRBEntered Canada May 21, 2025 and claimed at the airport

nothing happened since July, I call my lawyer every now and then and he replies to me that my FESS hasn't been completed, I called the IRB this week and they said there is an update on my case on the IRB portal but I'd have to talk to my lawyer to access that information. I have been calling my lawyer's office but could not reach them unfortunately.
I have seen many people telling me that I am eligible for the less complex process because I come from Sudan, but It has been almost a year since I landed in Canada and nothing happened
Could anyone please advise me on what to do? I have to visit a dear friend of mine that is sick and getting treated abroad.

My friend applied on March 5, 2024 and was later assigned a less complex hearing. On Wednesday, April 15, they received a Notice to Appear from the IRB for a virtual short hearing, scheduled for May 28 2026.
