Hello, In the latest gcms notes, The BG is still in progress, and the screening status is now Blank which was "Received" earlier, An officer is assigned with the due date 2025/12/03. But until now No updates at all.

Finally today I did my oath ceremony.

AOR : 05/03/2025
Background C. : 15/03/2025
LPP completed : 14/02/2026
Oath date : 06/03/2026
After a long waiting today I become a Canada citizen. All the best to remaining any one February, 2025 applicants.

What should I expect?
I am infact in a situation now where my job is contingent on citizenship (canadian company shutting down and offering relocation to US)

I just got an email from ircc to speak over the phone for the application. Is it legitimate?

The email from first.lastname@cic.gc.ca and it also list application number. This the exact what email says:

Good Morning,



I was trying to reach you on the phone to go over your application for Canadian Citizenship but it goes immediately to voicemail. Could you please provide your current phone number and preferred time of contact? Keep in mind it will show up as no caller ID.

A friend (July 2025 applicant) got the same email yesterday, replied back immediately and connected with this officer on a google meet call today.
Was asked about his expected return to Canada (fingerprints pending), and other regular stuff to just validate.

I almost feel like should I contact this officer "Brett ronson", my Feb 2025 application seems to be in non-routine category (per MP office info). Now I have a relocation offer (or RIF) by employer contingent on my citizenship
