Unfortunately Bill C-2 is still proceeding through Parliament and is not yet law. I hope IRCC is putting things in place to fast track our applications in anticipation that this bill will be passed.
August 2023 applicant.
It’s still pending for the third reading, which will take another 6 months if everything goes well. Our nightmare continues
What does speeding up applications have to do with the law? It was related to the budget, and the budget has been passed.

Nobody knows. We hope will be moving faster this year. Hopefully be like that. For those far from our families is hard, mentally. Years of loneliness. Only who is in same conditions can understand and empathize.
There are tons of post here about that. Basiclly is the same just include your old RTD . If it has any visa valid, write a letter requesting for it and they will send you back.
you should wait at least 15 months (after screening is started) if you are lucky. It could take 2-3 years depend on your case. where are you from?
