Hello everyone,
IRCC requested many documents for adding my spouse to the current application (IMM 0008, IMM 5406 for both, passport, marriage certificate, relationship proof, photos, etc) with a 30-day deadline.

But, in my GCKey portal I can only see three upload fields (Schedule A, Police Certificate, Additional Family Information). There is no option to upload the remaining documents.

Has anyone faced this before? Did you upload the rest through IRCC webform, or did you wait for further instructions from IRCC?

Any experience or advice would be really appreciated.

Thanks!

We applied for outland spousal visa on 24th September 2025 and received AOR on 1st November 2025.After that no further movement of application.
our representative raised the web form answer is please wait even asking ircc the same answer.
PA tracker shows biometric in progress, background check in progress, application in progress since 60 days.
Any body please help what we should do, please advice

SAME REPLY FROM MY SIDE FOR THE SAME QUERY YOU ASKED IN THE SEPTEMBER 2025 OUTLAND THREAD FEW DAYS AGO :)

I know you may not like what I have to say but there isn't really anything that anyone over here can say or do to exactly tell you what the issue is with your application and why it is taking so long. It happens! That does not mean it's entirely a bad thing.

The application is still within IRCC's processing standards and these things unfortunately can take longer for some people even when there is no reason so please be patient, keep following up with your representative if you have one and again, please remain hopeful and have patience.

Another way of looking at this is - at least you have the AOR - which is great - it means they have accepted your application - and they haven't said anything negative or sent any negative updates or asking additional information so that means your application is still in their system and is just being slow - no need to worry if you think that your application was sent properly. If there is any specific problem, they will reach out and ask for more details but sometimes no news is also good news so just hang in there, your updates will flood-in soon. So yes, the answer is just wait please. There are many people who don't even receive the AOR and eventually get the application approved. Weird things happen and IRCC can sometimes also be tricky to understand.

And if you feel, something is fishy or the hold up is because of some error on their part then I am sure IRCC helpline will be able to help but they are just asking you to wait is because they don't think there is anything wrong so they cannot pinpoint and give you any other update except just asking you to wait.

Christmas time is usually a slow period. I genuinely hope you start receiving your updates in the coming days. If you have a representative and they are also an immigration consultant/lawyer then maybe they can assist you further but my honest opinion is - just wait.

BUT OTHERS, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ADD ANYTHING I MIGHT'VE MISSED AND THAT COULD HELP @narayanjha :)

Are you not aware of current processing times for spousal applications?? You won't get it done in 3 months, that's for sure! Check the IRCC website regarding this. IRCC will send you emails when they need you to do something.

This is normal. There is no reason to be raising a web form.

I am a Canadian citizen currently living in the USA on a valid work permit. My wife lives and works in Canada on a valid work permit with a TRV expiring in May 2026. We got married on December 1, 2025, and four days after the marriage she received an ITA under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). We are planning to accept the ITA and submit the PR application (including medicals and documents) by the end of January 2026.

We would appreciate guidance on the following:
  1. CEC vs Spousal Sponsorship
Should she accept the CEC ITA and submit the PR application by adding me as a non-accompanying spouse, or would it be better to decline the ITA and apply later under spousal sponsorship? Which route is generally recommended in this situation?
  2. Travel while PR application is in process
After submitting the PR application and receiving AOR, is she legally allowed to travel outside Canada (specifically to the USA) while the application is being processed, or does she need to remain physically in Canada until a final PR decision is made?
  3. Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP)
We understand she may be eligible for a BOWP after receiving AOR:
    • Can she apply for a BOWP immediately after receiving AOR?
    • If she applies for a BOWP while her current work permit is still valid, can she travel to the USA and re-enter Canada without issues, or does she need to remain in Canada until the BOWP decision is made?
  4. After BOWP approval / Portal emails
Once the BOWP is approved, can she stay in the USA and travel back to Canada only when she receives the PR Portal 1 email, or does she need to continue living and working in Canada until a final PR decision is made?
Thank you in advance for your help and experiences
