Applied from Edmonton for minor OCI application — how long does it usually take?
I submitted a minor application at BLS Edmonton on 23 September.
The Consulate (CGI Vancouver) received it on 25 September.
The status is still showing “Under Process”.

There is a good chance that you will move to next stage in coming week (Dec 1st week).

OCI status changed to “GRANTED” from “UNDER-PROCESS”,
Application submitted at BLS Edmonton on 10th Sep
Application received at Consulate on 13th Sep
Status showed UNDER-PROCESS till 18th Nov and then changed to GRANTED
Jurisdiction- Vancouver

Nov 29- OCI card ready for collection (however at BLS Edmonton collection is available only from Mon- Fri)

Anyone got recently Surender certificate, how much time is needed? I believe no, but just asking can we surrender Indian passport when our Canadian passport application is in progress

I am not sure If I am allowed but there is petition that India should allow dual citizenship. Please guys sign it.. Its so emotional for me..

No, you must have the foreign passport to apply Indian passport surrender certificate.

My OCI application status changed to “Please complete your application by uploading the required documents” but I haven’t received any email. What should I do?

Today when I checked the status on the OCI portal, it shows:

“Please complete your application by uploading the required documents.”

But I didn’t receive any email from CGI explaining which documents are missing.

Has anyone experienced this before?
Do they usually email later, or should I proactively contact CGI Vancouver/BLS?

Any help or similar experiences would be appreciated. Thanks!
