Why do you say this ? There is an option when declaring fund one can choose "Someone is sponsoring my trip".
Are you saying that for Visitors that doesn't work out ? A family member cannot sponsor unless Supervisa is applied ?

I applied for a visitor visa for my wife in the month of July 2025 from India.
Biometrics completed - 13 July 2025
It's been almost 4 months and there has been no response at all. Is it safe to raise a web form?
A small background, we got married this year in the month of April and applied for Spouse PR in October 2025 recently.

You can raise a webform but chances are low given she got married to a Canadian/PR in April and has applied for PR. She will have shown cash, strong ties to return and strong travel history. She has not family ties if married to you. Also issue is how long you have been together and how long you have lived together.

Timelines are going up every week. I just saw on the news that there has been layoffs and financial federal cutoffs. My wife's biometric was completed on - 13 July 2025. But there has been no update so far.
