Tracker updated for oath scheduled for Nov 17. Tracker was updated on Sept 23. Still waiting for the email.

Also, will have to send them an email saying we are out of country and need to reschedule. How many weeks before oath we get this email? Thanks.

Congrats. What’s your timeline?

"It depends."

They might respond soon with new date if your trip abroad is relatively short; for those with longer or uncertain departures, they may tell you to advise them after you return (and then it will take longer).

No, I can't say precisely how soon, nor what they consider 'short' trips exactly.

Looks like March 8th is the date where they moved the applications to PM03. I have the same exact timeline. My AOR is 7th Jan. Only BG and Test has been marked complete. I am yet to receive the notes, but the MP did mention the same Oct 25th date, and that the file was assigned to an officer on Sep 25th. Seems there is movement, and I agree, no reason to celebrate until an email comes in.
Hi,

I think my wife’s case might be similar.
Can someone catch me up on what’s going on with these files that they put on shelves back in early March to collect dust?
My wife’s AOR is Dec 1.
BG passed: Jan 31
Test passed: March 1
GU: March 5
…and then nothing since.
She called in August , the agent said everything looks okay. When she asked if it’s a non-routine file, they said nope, all good. She also asked about the last note or activity; they said March.
I applied for GCMS notes 6 weeks ago but never got them. I’ll reapply, but any advice? Should we reach out to my MP’s office, or any other tips?

We are still within the processing timeline but if you want help, contacting your MP might get you more info. You can also request GCMS notes from CBSA and not IRCC. CBSA tends to redacte less notes so you will be able to see more.
However, with an AOR of Dec 1, your wife's file may be non routine and waiting on security clearance. I feel like they've moved past the Dec 1 AOR dates and most people with that date have heard back from IRCC

Per the notes, they are past due the due date of Oct 25th 2025. I just received my notes over the weekend, and it still showed that LPP had still not started, but the officer was assigned on 9/25/2025, with due date of 10/25/2025.

Sounds good. I’ll request notes from CBSA then.
By the way, doesn’t BG clearance cover security clearance too? I always thought BG was the hardest part.
My wife’s PR is expiring in May 2025, and since she’s currently outside Canada, our concern is that she might have to travel back just for the PR renewal, unless the citizenship decision comes through before that, hopefully!

Same here. That's why I wasn't going to get excited.

I believe she still has to come back. I don't think they allow people to attend virtual ceremonies from overseas. That would actually be a red flag.
In addition, it would be suspect if she was to apply for her first passport from overseas.
My advice: she should return and stay in Canada until she gets her citizenship. Or at the very least, return now to renew the PR card. It's says it's about a 31 day processing.

Are you sure BG isn't completed and you're in grant review ready status? I've never heard that. Applications are typically only eligible for the grant review status after both security and criminality have passed.

Good call, I was expecting my notes to come in sometime early in November so as to reflect a status post the due date. But they arrived much sooner. I have applied for another set from the IRCC. Since these are after the due date on the file, I am hoping for a little more clarity.

It's most likely just the assigned officer not getting to our applications just yet. If they had worked on it but havent approved, we would have heard in some way. For example, ghoar updates, addiotonal info request or an interview request.
They seem to be stretched thin. And those of us not approves by the junior officers are in for a long wait.

I don’t see it updated on the tracker yet. And IRCC couldn’t confirm that it was completed. So I am not really sure. Applied for another set of notes from IRCC
