Thanks for letting know....I think the new work permit for protected persons is 1yr. I just received my WP and it’s for a year.

If the passport has expired, select today's date as the expiration date. Please I am trying to complete the filling of my imm5710e.
While trying to validate the form, the passport details were requested. My passport was collected by IRCC and I don't know if the details should be added despite the expiration of the passport.
In a separate write up by IRCC, refugee claimant's were advised to fill "0000" in the section while attaching a letter of explanation but my fear is that if the issuance and expiration dates are absent, the form wouldn't still validate.
Thanks a lot, I really appreciate. If the passport has expired, select today's date as the expiration date.

You do not need any new medical information to renew if you are not working in healthcare or childcare. Always selected NO to these options. I renewed my WP twice, and neither time did I require any medical or additional documents.Hello everyone, please I’m trying to apply for my work permit renewal and they request for medical result, the one I did for my refugee claim is expired and I shredded it, I went to a center today to do a medical and it’s going to cost almost $300 that I don’t honestly have. Anyone knows how I can go about it? Is the medical mandatory?? I will appreciate helpful responses. Thanks.
Thanks so much for the response. I will keep you posted on how it goes or if I need help if that’s OK.You do not need any new medical information to renew if you are not working in healthcare or childcare. So my passport is with IRCC, do I put the original expiry date as it has expired or today’s date that I am filling the form as stated in some of your previous responses? Thanks so much for the response. I will keep you posted on how it goes or if I need help if that’s OK.

Where when you travel On RTDHello,
My open work permit is approaching its expiry date, and I need to renew it.
Initially, when I was a refugee claimant, I applied for an open work permit along with my refugee claim and was issued a work permit valid for two years.
After I was granted protected person status and received a Refugee Travel Document, I applied to renew my work permit. At that time, I submitted the Refugee Travel Document as part of my application, and I was issued a one-year open work permit, which matched the validity period of the travel document.
My question is: can I apply for a new open work permit using only a guarantor-signed photocopy of my original passport (from my previous citizenship)? The original passport is currently in possession of IRCC, as indicated in the Notice of Seizure, which I have on hand and can submit if requested. I don't want to renew refugee travel document by spending money and receive 2 years validity and then renew my open work permit.
Any clarity will be much appreciated. Thanks!!
