interesting, when I put that I applied in June 2025, it says more than 10 years. If I'm saying that I have'nt applied yet they say 100 months. Which one should I trust in this case?

Processing could technically be multiple decades actually given how low the quota appears to be for general H&C. H&C does not prevent removal and many people without status who have H&C in process are being removed. Your best option is economic immigration. This may be your only option but realistically not everyone has a pathway to PR. The math hasn’t mathed for quite some time.

what if I will run out of status next year, could it be processed faster if I request?

No. A large portion of H&C applicants don’t have status and H&C does not prevent removal. CBSA rarely deported people with active H&C cases but that has changed. Canada has a large number of temporary residents and a small amount of PR spots. There is no pathway to PR for a large number of them so Canada will try very hard to make them return home. That is sadly the reality. Many would be better served returning home when their status expires, working towards PR while at home and reapplying.

He's one of the troll accounts as well.

Do we have any news about any reforms they will do for H&C? It is obvious the math is not working for this type of application.

Bill c2 was amended so is now C-12. Government is trying to pass this legislation. That would allow specific applications to be cancelled. Previous governments have been able to cancel whole immigration programs when they stopped being functional so believe there are existing ways to do this although new legislation may limit legal challenges. Can’t find where it was mentioned but in the past month IRCC update specified examining H&C program. Don’t remember the exact statement but it was pretty broad. Have no clue how IRCC will try to tackle this mess. If c-12 passes they have a few options. Trying to predict what IRCC/gvt will do is pointless because they have proven time and time again that their decisions often don’t make sense. This should have been dealt with over a year ago. Dragging things out only creates bigger problems for both the govt and uncertainly for applicants.

Can we sign a petition or something like that? Or can we send an email as certain number of people regarding this matter?

Sure you can. Probably limited to concerns about processing times and c-12 at the moment.

10 YRS FOR AIP? I guess everyone is just speculating, no one has the right information for AIP for a fact. those number of years are of course for the total number of years for stage 2.

eCoPR received today!
I’m from the country that less than 20 peoples files a refugee claim in a year.

Here’s my full timeline for anyone tracking:
  • Applied: March 14, 2023
  • AOR/request for correction : August 31, 2023
  • Final Decision: September 8, 2025
  • Portal 1 (P1): September 11, 2025
  • Portal 2 (P2): September 28, 2025
  • eCoPR Issued: October 10, 2025
I just wanted to share my experience. I’m a legitimate applicant who joined the group later after here almost 3 years. I decided to join to give back and help others with their timelines.

Honestly, I wouldn’t rely too much on the posted processing time. I believe and hope all of us end up getting results earlier than expected.

Wishing everyone the best of luck! your turn is coming soon!
