I wanted to clarify whether there’s a point in a Non-Express Entry application where pursuing an Express Entry invitation is no longer worth it… for example, after receiving the PAL, since both streams might end up finishing around the same time. Or is Express Entry generally always faster regardless of how far along the Non-EE application is?

Express Entry is always faster but it depends on certain factors like security or criminality checks. If you are stuck on these checks, both streams can take forever.

Has any September 2024 applicant received P1 or final decision yet? Because I'm kind of concerned about the pace of this PNP applications.

Not even July applicants received FD yet forget about P1. just be patient your due date is around May 2026.

hi everyone!
I got my nomination today and I have the following situation:
I applied in OINP employer job offer: international student stream and submitted my documents on September 2024 at that time I was Machinist and after about 9-10 months I got promoted as QA tech. and I added additional documents to my profile (explanation letter, new job letter with same employer).In October 2025, I got my nomination, and the position on the nomination certificate is Machinist. what should I do? should I just proceed with submitting my non-express entry file or reach out to OINP ? Please advise.

Hi everyone, below is my brief status progression and my question regarding IRCC latest request letter

• Jul 2024: Application received
• Dec 2024: AOR + Biometric (bio metric completed)
• April 2025: Military record requested + new passport requested (all submitted)
• April 2025: Pre-arrival service letter received
• Sept 2025: Medical exam requested ( submitted + passed)
• Oct 2025: Request letter (Submitted requested documents)

In this letter, they requested me to show proof of fund, proof of income, most recent Letter of Employment, plus revised travel history and family information form. The one thing that concerns me is that i don't have a lot of savings and i'm not sure if this will negatively impacted the final decision. I have been working for the same employer since i applied for OINP (3 years now) so i have been having stable income. Basically i am not sure about their intention is for this request.

Then you shouldn't be worried about your savings. they just verify your employment through your paystubs.

Thank you ! I have contacted the IRCC via webform to ask about this too and they just replied - "While examining your file, we found that the situation reported in your Web form request is now resolved". Looks like a positive reply.

For PNP PR applications if you have job offer, you don't need to worry about savings. Most probably they are checking your eligibility .

J'aimerais connaître vos expériences concernant l' étape de vérification des antécédents (criminalité/sécurité) pour une demande de résidence permanente dans le cadre du Programme des candidats du Nouveau-Brunswick (PCP) , en dehors d'Entrée express.


Voici ma situation:

• Demande reçue par IRCC : 19 mai 2025
• Biométrie terminée : 15 août 2025
• Statut actuel : « Nous traitons actuellement votre vérification des antécédents »
• Aucune demande de documents supplémentaires ni examens médicaux à ce jour.

J'essaie de comprendre combien de temps cette étape prend habituellement, surtout pour les candidats du PCP du Nouveau-Brunswick ou d'autres programmes PCP hors Entrée express .
Vos commentaires m'aideraient grandement à estimer le délai prévu avant la décision finale.
