You don't need valid nomination certificate, you only need WPSL which is less than 6 months old . If it's expired you need to request new one then your online account.
Okay, Thanks for the information. And my WPSL has expired last month. Do you know when should I request for new one? Is that okay If I request for new one next year ?

Yes you should request couple months before when you wana apply for closed work permit.
Your employer must submit the job offer in the Employer Portal and pay the $230 employer compliance fee.Once submitted, the system generates an “Offer of Employment Number” (beginning with ‘A’). You will need to enter this number in your online work permit application.

I'd really appreciate if you could you share me the link that I can refer to. Thanks

I submitted my application with old PCC from India and from Qatar. But I've attached proof of new Indian PCC requested. But the Qatar one was older one
Will it cause returning my application?? I'm waiting for AOR.

Now that I've received both new Indian and Qatar PCC.but my agent was told me to wait for AOR and then upload the pCCs through webform.

Is that one the option I have it now to wait for AOR?

You can still send it through webform now .

Hello @Miss bee and other members. I need help regarding my application for closed work permit (LMIA Exempt). Short summary - I am a OINP ISS nominee and applied for my PR in July 2024, and recieved my AOR in Dec 2024, PAL in Feb 2025 and basically no update since then. Now my current PGWP expires in Dec 2025 and I am not sure if my PR application will get approved before that. Hence to be proactive I am applying for a LMIA exempt work permit using the work permit support letter from OINP (Already raised webform to OINP to update the letter). My employer has posted the job on the employer portal and paid the compliance fees and given me the 7 digit 'A' number.

Now when I fill up the questionaire for a work permit I am stuck at two option that trigger different application documents in the system:
Which option best describes your work situation?
1) I am a provincial nominee certificate holder,
2) I am applying for an employer specific work permit with LMIA exemption.

Both seem correct and I tried both. It seems like option 1) triggers the right document checklist where it asks for nomination certificate and work permit support letter. Option 2) seems correct too but triggers documents such as invitation letter which looks like a checklist for application outside Canada. I have tried to research online and seems like people are divided between what to choose. I am leaning towards option 1 more since 2 seems like it is made for other LMIA exempt permits which are not PNP specific. Any more advice or guidance on this would be appreciated...

Secondly, if anyone has applied for a work permit support letter extension from OINP using the webform, can you please share your timeline for how long did OINP take to respond.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Has any September 2024 applicant received P1 or final decision yet? Because I'm kind of concerned about the pace of this PNP applications.

You should select option 1 and attach all documents like valid WPSL and nomination certificate. Your nomination certificate can be expired however you need WPSL which is less than 6 months old . You also have to attach job letter from your employer describing all your TEER code and duties and salary details. If you don't have employer restrictions on your nomination certificate, you should apply for BOWP which is like open work permit.

Hi @Miss bee

I wanted to clarify whether there’s a point in a Non-Express Entry application where pursuing an Express Entry invitation is no longer worth it… for example, after receiving the PAL, since both streams might end up finishing around the same time. Or is Express Entry generally always faster regardless of how far along the Non-EE application is?
