This is why (assuming you are applying for passport for child born outside Canada) it's important to check with the Embassy/High Commission's consular section. They may have minimum requirements / it may depend on urgency.
How can I contact Embassy/High Commission's consular section.? I have contacted the ircc by phone and asked about the ID problem so they have told me to add explanation letter. Can you please guide me to how to contact High Commission's consular section?
Nope, I can't. Internet. Or call the IRCC consular line and ask for guidance and how to contact. Etc.

Applied sept 2024. Got aor on Oct 2024. I have been waiting all these times sent 2-4 queries kept saying in progress and I just got them today. Opted for e- citizenship certificate. You can download with dob and uci.
