Got my virtual ceremony invite today. Will be held on Oct 23.

For those with in person ceremonies, did your invitation state a limit on guests you can invite? Mine does not. I submitted a webform to ask and was just directed to the program delivery guide (which says a number "may" be specified). I also emailed my local office but haven't heard back yet.

I'd like to invite about 10 people but I don't know if that's an unreasonable ask or not. I'm in Nova Scotia though so I don't expect the ceremony to be as busy as somewhere like Toronto.

Congratulation.

In the portal, did you see the ceremony scheduled the same day LPP was completed or that update appeared in a few days?
There is a 5 day gap, you can refer to the timeline below.

LPP passed on Sep 9 and updated on Sep 12.
Ceremony changed to "in progress" on Sep 16 and reflected on tracker on Sep 18.

Mine specified I may bring 1 guest but I really want to bring 2 - everything I've checked online says 1-2 people are acceptable but not sure how strict they are!

Is your ceremony open to public? If that's the case you should be fine I think.

1 would be so tough. I'm hoping you can bring 2!

My ceremony is open to the public so fingers crossed. Thanks for your input.

Thanks! They should really do a minimum of two - 1 is impossible lol

I think since your ceremony is open to public you'll be fine! Mine is a closed ceremony.
