I am March 10, and there has been no update since May 9, 2024. I’m starting to lose hope. I submitted several web forms and called them dozens of times, but it was useless—they just told me to be patient. I feel hopeless because there’s nothing more I can do.
Yes March 17 and same situation seems like they slowed down but staying hope for good, we are next whenever they start

Hello, how long can my family's processing time really take (outside of Canada) they received the pre-arrimence letter 12 months ago. Today we talked to an officer and he tells us that we have to wait 50 months. Could you tell me if it is real or it can be less, or what other solution I can do so that they are with me even if it is in a time interval. I'm an applicant for October 2023

I am very stressed because if this gets delayed until the end of the year, when should I expect to receive my P2 and eCOPR? It’s really scary to me.

Hi, I applied on April 2023, from QC. The wait time for PR is 45 months currently, so I am, in theory, 1 and half years away from getting the PR (so sad).

Does anyone know when it is usually the time to start seeing updates on the application? so far my application has been dead for months, stuck on background check (it feels like Groundhog day for those who watched that movie), and I have never received an update email.

My friend from QB waited 4 years for the PR.
She complete all the assessments and was waiting for 6 months. She knew everything was passed because she contacted the MP but she still had to wait 6 months more after that.
QB is really crowded and with the new quotas, it is tking forever but now I see outside QB is taking longer and longer. In some moment both will have same processing times. :-(

Applied on April 26th 2023. I haven’t received anything after eligibility approval( I got the approval letter August 2024). I am expecting to get P1 in end of September. Do you all think it is realistic ? I requested ATIP end of June, but I haven’t get reply yet.
My mom is under similar situation. Applied April 18th 2023 and requested ATIP end of June this year she hasn't receiv3d no news after eligibility letter.

Dears

I urgently need your help. I received my eCoPR on August 26, 2025, and traveled to the US last Friday for the long weekend using my Refugee Travel Document. However, when attempting to return to Canada, United Airlines staff at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) informed me that I required a Permanent Resident Travel Document (PRTD) and refused boarding. I am currently stuck at the airport.

Please advise on the immediate steps I should take to resolve this issue and return to Canada. Any guidance or assistance would be greatly appreciated. As far as I know, I don't need PRTD since I have a refugee travel document and eCoPR.

Unfortunately, you need a PRTD to get back into Canada since your status changed after you received eCOPR. Unless you have a PR Card + RTD, you'll need a PRTD to return to Canada. You can apply for an emergency PRTD here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...services/permanent-residents/card/urgent.html

Hi, I applied in May 2023 from Quebec, and I’m in the same situation as you. The wait time is 45 months, but there’s no guarantee we’ll actually get PR in 1.5 years. I think we should start contacting our MPs and raising our voices. On the other hand, the CAQ will change in October 2026, and that could really affect processing times as well.
